Parish Council Elections

Elections are coming up for Parish and Town Councils across the whole of Northamptonshire in May 2025.
Parish Council are the first tier of local government, a statutory body elected by residents, Parish Councils are responsible to the people they represent – their local community.

Cottingham Parish Council is a community focused council, striving to make Cottingham a better place to live, work and play. We are made up of 9 councillors who meet on the first Wednesday of each month (except August) to make decisions about the direction of the village and the work it does for the community. Attending a council meeting is the best way to find out what we do.
Why don’t you stand for your local council and see what difference you can make to your local neighbourhood?

Parish councillors have to be a British citizen, or a citizen of the Commonwealth, or the European Union, 18 years of age or older and live or work in Cottingham.

If you are interested in attending our next Parish Council meeting to see how the meeting runs first hand, join us on Wednesday 5th March at 7pm in the Village Hall Annex.
